Grassfire has been entertaining folks around the San Joaquin Valley for many years. Grassfire regularly appears at concerts around the Valley including the Clovis Bluegrass in the Park series and the California Bluegrass Association's Hobbs Grove Bluegrass Festival. Grassfire performs at weddings, banquets and private parties along with corporate, civic and political events.

Grassfire's recently released CD Alive & Pickin' has become a big hit among valley bluegrass fans.

Grassfire features Dave Kyle on banjo, lead and harmony vocals; Mike McDonald on bass, lead and harmony vocals; Steveo Gillette on mandolin, lead and harmony and vocals; and Doug Carlton on guitar and harmony vocals. Mike and Dave are both accomplished songwriters and contribute to the group's extensive repertoire of original songs.

Grassfire performs both modern and traditional bluegrass music combining the ideas of today's young, widely influenced musicians with the classic sounds from the past.
